INCM, State security printing, Lisbon 2005
INSTITUTO NACIONAL CASA da MOEDA is the official State printhouse of Portugal involved in the printing of all State security documents (except banknotes) as well as in most major security printing projects for private bodies and institutions in Portugal. INCM have been early in introducing a full vertically integrated manufacture of holograms with origination and embossing facilities in-house since the mid ’90s. They can apply both holographic stripes and registered images on a variety of documents either on web or in sheet-fed form. For the latter, it was felt that a CAVOMIT HOLO@PLATEN HEIDELBERG 34X46 accounted best for their production needs and a 4-pull press was installed as a result of an international call for tender.
